Art, culture, and concerts are our passion! That’s where we come from. That’s what made us big. For us, this is the elixir of life and the creative space in which we test new formats. From this we draw the inspiration that gives each event its own character. We don’t apply a cookie-cutter approach.
In 2003, we began as a temporary art space. Born out of necessity, we used what we found on site to build what we needed. We started our cultural program with a secondhand PA system, 20 old lamps, and furniture we found at the junkyard. With lots of creativity, we redesigned every day and set significant event trends.
Quickly Die Wagenhallen became a hub for artists from all over Stuttgart. Whether it was the gallery in the Small Room (Kleiner Raum), live gigs on the sofa, or a DJ spinning records in a trailer from the junkyard, everything that was there was utilized, not just for a day, but for as long as it held up.

We could not afford a throw-away culture at all. So we reused tablecloths from weddings as projection screens or canvas for artists. An old stage from the Stuttgart Opera is still in use. To this day our guests bring us their old carpets and sofas. We use them happily in our culture and events area.
With the latest renovation, we updated the technology in our house. It’s rounded off by our self-designed and built furniture made of quality wood and steel. With this we are able to equip just about any event. For special demands, our exhibit stand construction team finds individual solutions. This saves on transport routes and packaging materials.

Die Wagenhallen take a more active approach. Entry is five euros for motto parties, which take place monthly. If you pay seven euros you also get the round trip with the VVS, in the entire VVS area, including the morning after the party. „The club-ticket is unique throughout Germany. You can also book it on your cell phone shortly before you leave. 30% to 50% of our guests do that.” We do not fully pass on the extra charge. „Some of the costs remain with us, but if an additional 100 people come because of that ticket, it pays off for us.“ The calculation clearly works. „In the future we will have more live music at our parties and invite good but less-known bands from the surrounding area such as Tübingen or Reutlingen. Hence even more people will use the club-ticket as these bands draw their fans to the city.“
„All clubs in the city should offer this.“ And we hold the city accountable. „Anyone from the Fildern who wants to have a coffee in the city center pays eight euros. No young person does that. It isn’t reasonable for a city.“ You can party using the club-ticket without running the risk of losing your driver’s license on the way home.
